Christmas Time 2015

It's been a year since I've posted anything new here!  Life has been busy, that's for sure!

Thought I would show some photos of our Christmas tree, complete with all the glitter and sparkle and twinkle we love!  Christmas ornaments have a history all their own, being passed down from the generations, becoming more precious since fewer of the fragile ones survive.  When I look at the ornaments on the tree I remember where each one came from.  A friend gave me this one, that one came from a vacation, those big silver glass ornaments hung on my grandmother's tree when my mother was a little girl, all come with memories.

Precious Moments ornaments, purr-fect since we love cats!

An ornament with history.  My mom made these balls by putting glue on the ball, then sprinkling glitter all over them.  Not too many survive since these are made of thin glass.

A glittery sea urchin ornament I bought before I was married.  Inside the urchin is potpourri, which has lost most of its scent by now.  This is a happy reminder of many beach vacations!

A glittery shell I also bought before I was married.  I bought several of these at the same time, most likely on sale after Christmas!

A close up of our Christmas tree.  The white lacy snowflake was tatted by a dear college friend.  The red bows are a finishing touch, a tradition started by my Mom and me when I was a teen.

There you have it, a few glimpses into the memories on our Christmas tree this year!
